Michal Eskayo spent thirteen years with St. Augustine College in Uptown before joining the Foreign Language/English as a Second Language Department at Harold Washington College last fall. During her time at St. Augustine, Michal taught ESL, Composition and Speech, coordinated the intermediate and advanced courses, and served as acting chair in her last year. Currently, she teaches intermediate and advanced ESL courses at HWC. Michal also teaches violence prevention and self-defense classes for Thousand Waves Martial Arts & Self Defense Center, NFP. These courses teach participants practical ways to increase their awareness, self confidence and safety as well as practical strategies to stop or interrupt violence. |
